อธิการฯ 19 มหาวิทยาลัย จับมือแถลงต้าน พ.ร.บ.นิรโทษกรรม

ผู้สื่อข่าวรายงานว่า เมื่อวันที่ 4 พฤศจิกายน ที่ประชุมอธิการบดีแห่งประเทศไทย (ทปอ.) ได้ออกแถลงการณ์ต้าน พ.ร.บ.นิรโทษกรรม ใจความว่า

ตามที่สภาผู้แทนราษฎรมีมติเห็นชอบร่าง พ.ร.บ.นิรโทษกรรม เมื่อวันที่ 31 ตุลาคม 2556 ที่มีเนื้อหาให้นิรโทษกรรมแก่บรรดาการกระทำทั้งหลายทั้งสิ้นของบุคคล หรือประชาชนที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับการชุมนุมทางการเมือง การแสดงออกทางการเมือง ความขัดแย้งทางการเมือง หรือที่ถูกกล่าวหาว่าเป็นผู้กระทำความผิด โดยคณะบุคคลหรือองค์กรที่จัดตั้งขึ้นภายหลังการรัฐประหาร เมื่อวันที่ 19 กันยายน 2549 รวมทั้ง องค์กร หรือหน่วยงานที่ดำเนินการในเรื่องดังกล่าวสืบเนื่องต่อมา ที่เกิดขึ้นระหว่าง พ.ศ.2547-8 สิงหาคม 2556 ไม่ว่าผู้กระทำจะได้กระทำในฐานะตัวการ ผู้สนับสนุน ผู้ใช้ให้กระทำ หรือผู้ถูกใช้

การบัญญัติดังกล่าวข้างต้นไม่เพียงแต่เป็น การยกเว้นความผิดและโทษให้แก่การกระทำในทางการเมืองเท่านั้น แต่ยังรวมถึงการกระทำในลักษณะการทุจริตคอร์รัปชั่นด้วย ทปอ.เห็น ว่าเนื้อหาดังกล่าวข้างต้น เท่ากับสร้างมาตรฐานที่ไม่ถูกต้องขึ้นในสังคมไทย เพราะจะทำให้เกิดความเข้าใจผิดว่า การทุจริตคอร์รัปชั่นมิใช่สิ่งร้ายแรง และในท้ายที่สุดก็สามารถหลุดพ้นจากความรับผิดได้ด้วยการนิรโทษกรรม การ นิรโทษกรรม การกระทำความผิด ในเรื่องทุจริตคอรัปชั่นจะทำให้การต่อสู้กับปัญหาคอร์รัปชั่นในสังคมไทยใน ปัจจุบันไม่ประสบผลสำเร็จ และจะเป็นตัวอย่างที่ไม่ดีให้กับการกระทำในลักษณะนี้ต่อไปในอนาคต

ทปอ.ดังมีรายนามต่อไปนี้ จึงขอคัดค้าน ร่าง พ.ร.บ.นิรโทษกรรม ฉบับนี้ร่วมกัน ได้แก่
